I lived in Cambridge, MA for 2 years at one of the 2 uni's there (nicknamed "The Trade School" and the Liberal Arts college by each other). Parking in Boston is horrific. I often had to park 0.6 miles from where I was going after trolling streets for any vacancy nd had to walk that distance and then back to the car every time. Every spot requires money/meter. I just never fed the meter and probably had 30 parking tickets for $1,200 if I had to guess after my time there.

I never paid any. I will never pay that city for how horrible it is to find a parking spot there. They somehow caught you every single time. If I left my car for 10 min and came back, there'd be a ticket. Maybe some tech or just efficient. Good thing about TX and LA is that you will never, ever struggle 1% the struggle as it is to find parking like there & maybe 1 in 100 times I park in front of a meter and don't pay, will I actually get a ticket here.

They are parked all up and down Canal Street. Empty, of course. The one morning I saw a nopd working recently, he’d pulled over a car at a light and held up traffic in that single lane on Tchop crossing under interstate vs moving to a better spot. I wanted to ask him how stupid was he, but by the time we got moving I just kept going.
