I don't like it from a political standpoint, but personally I'll take not smelling like smoke when I go out.

I can't read through all 40 pages of this so sorry if this was already addressed, but are there any places in America where you still CAN smoke in bars?

This isn't about smoking. If my point has been brought up and is Germans, GFY. I'm not reading 37+ pgs of crap. This is pure and simple gov't out of control. Quit getting stuck on "cigarettes".
If widgets (any legal thing or substance you can think of) were banned tomorrow in or on the premise of any private place of business or residence is that ok? Is that freedom? Is that liberty?
Tap water. Ban it. Has chemicals in it. All forms of transportation. Ban em. They kill people. All forms of processed food contain dangerous substances that kill people. Banned.
This is conditioning at its best. Gov't sponsored. The public has been manipulated since the 50's. Do some research. Edward Bernays, Sigmund Freud. Go LEARN how Betty Crocker couldn't sell cake mix to housewives till they told them to "add an egg". This is the same ole shite. Divide and conquer. CIGS TODAY WIDGETS TOMORROW.
TLDR
Turn on the Kardashians and don't forget to lick their boots.

Business owners are being screwed by the city council.
The same people cheering for this are the types that would support Nanny Bloomberg's Big soft drink ban.
F U nanny state.

Everything you said is what me and a few others have been preaching in this thread.
All the others in this thread who are ok with the government banning things that are legal, have me scared for our country.

Yes, because there's nothing better than fat unhealthy degenerates driving up healthcare costs for everyone with diabetes, lung cancer, heart disease, etc.

Thank u sir. I don't know ya, but I love your Twain quote. I just get so pissed when people don't understand how they are being played like marionettes.

I don't smoke cigarettes but I do enjoy a good cigar often. When I am in Vegas I enjoy smoking while I am gambling. We will be in NOLA this weekend for the first time since Katrina, staying at the Hilton. It looks like it may be my last visit for a while.

Jefferson Parish, plus you are less likely to get shot and the drinks are typically cheaper.

No doubt. Ban everything that has proven to be unhealthy. That leaves us with.....

Has a lawsuit not come close to winning in any of the other places where there is a ban? I figure there would be a lot of people trying, especially based on this thread.

Nobody banned smoking. They only banned smoking inside of places.
It's not like there were many places left you could smoke inside anyway. The biggest was the casino. Other than that just some shitty bars.

This law seems like it could have issues since it grandfathers the cigar and hookah bars in, and exempts Bourbon Street. Obvious racism.

Have you been to Bourbon Street lately?

Bar owners not patrons.

Smokers can suck a dick. At least some fatty sitting next to me eating a Big Mac doesn't have an adverse effect on my lungs.
