You might not be mistaken as of today. But, hell it had to have been almost 3-4 years ago I legitimately lost my ticket. Travel was work related so I didn’t care and was ready to pay but the lady took my license for 30 seconds and then let me go on my merry way.
Granted with plate scanning technology implemented this may no longer be the case.
