19th JDC closed until noon tomorrow. Hope nobody had any important business in the courthouse on a Thursday morning in April. UNREAL!

The structural integrity was compromised by the inclusion of too many holes in the stall walls in the men's bathrooms.

I had this happen years ago. Ice storm. And it happened on prescription day for a 50 million dollar suit. (The client had dilly dallied.). I went to the Clerk of Court’s house and got him to personally accept my filing.

If I remember, the law wasn’t all that clear about whether a half-day closure gives you a pass on a deadline.

No libraries in the proposed City of St. George are in danger of collapsing.

Same minds that built BR built St George, built DS, built Pville. One commonality? They repeat their mistakes.

Somewhere, there is a structural engineer, the engineer's attorney, and the engineer's insurance company all competing for whose a-hole is puckered more watertight right now.

Never change Baton Rouge. Never change.

always thought that was a lot of unsupported overhang. A lot of moment about an axis to account for. Wood not want to stamp.

Even if you had performed the design of it? Damn, sounds like you have little confidence in yourself. Guess your structures would be all simple columns and square frames.

I can guarantee the engineer's attorney's a-hole is not puckered right now. In fact, he just ordered a case of lube to make it easier on his client.

Shore it, inject it with MMA, carbon fiber bars for support, wrap it with biaxial carbon fiber.

Problem solved.

Looks to be a steel structure that is simply covered with sheet rock. I don't believe MMA will do crap for sheetrock in tension.

what does this have to do with Baton Rouge?

This happens all of the country. Look at Florida with the bridge collapse. you going to tell then to dont stop being baton rouge?

They hire civil engineers to design the foundation.
true civil engineers design the grading plan and the civil site plan. While Structural engineers are Civil Engineers, they are the ones who design the foundations with the help of Geotechnical Engineers who are also Civil Engineers.
