Never Underestimate the Power of New Shoelaces on Old Shoes

I was on the verge of throwing out a pair of sneaks, New Balances that I've run in for about a year.
But I just replaced the dirty old shoe laces with a new pair I saw at the drugstore, and it feels like I bought a new pair of shoes!
The great thing about shoelaces is you can mix-and-match and try different combinations of colors to the primary color of your shoes.
For example, these NBs came with neon green laces (they really never sat right with me), but I went old school and replaced these with gray ones (I'm more of a classic guy anyway).
They look great; I wish I had done this months ago.

Those shoes, even with new laces, are not appropriate attire for 2-star steak restaurants in Shreveport.
