Nest Cam Installation Question

Going to take advantage of their sale this weekend and pick up two of the outdoor cams.

Cam one will be on the front of my house near the garage. I think I am going to drill a hole in the soffit and route the cord into the attic space and drill a small hole in my garage ceiling and plug the camera into the outlet with the garage door opener. Anyone see any issues here?

Cam two is a bit trickier and will be on the back patio. I do not have an outlet close to here so I have a couple of things in mind.

1. Run and extension cord in the attic from an existing attic outlet and drill a small hole in the soffit to route the cable to plug into this cord. Obviously the easiest of the 3 options but is certainly not to code.

2. Run romex off the existing outlet and mount a new plug in the attic space near where the cam will be mounted. Drill small hole in soffit and run cord into attic to plug into new outlet.

3. Run romex off an existing outlet in attic and add a new outdoor outlet on the soffit. The reason I don't want to do this is because of all the extra cord that will need to be rolled up somewhere visible.

I like option #2 the best for a cleaner look but will go #3 if necessary.
