Neighbors called the cops on me

Backstory.
Just moved into a new house and was taking some pictures of the backyard and surrounding area. Neighbors, mom dad and daughter come running out and ask what I'm filming. I calmly tell them that I'm sending pics of new house to my folks. They say ok.
Last night I'm standing on top of our outdoor fireplace looking at the view and talking to the SO... We are out there about 5 min and then head inside...30 minutes later the cops show up and ask me what I'm doing looking into our neighbors house. Says they think I'm casing out their house or some shite. I laugh and tell them what's going on.. They laugh and say have a good night.
My SO is telling me to blow it off but I'm kinda pissed.
What's the alpha response here? What would the OT do?

Why would you stand on a firepit and "look at the view"? You sound pretty creepy. Especially knowing they were already worried about what the hell you were doing.

Every time you drive by their house do it slowly and stare. When they come outside, stop and stare and then act like you're taking notes.
