Here's what we do, being as we actually do have a decent credit rating.

Take no money until the job is complete, but we do make the customers put the money in escrow.

Challenge the customer to find any other company to do this.

Profit.

Lol. No it's not, but the job won't be bonded or insured therefore if something goes bad 2 years later, it's a big time loss.

Mine is way more than 2 years old and no problems. Also, LOL if you think contractors are going to honor their "warranty" and not claim soil issues out if their control if something goes really wrong.

It might as well be 100 years, none of 'em are gonna do a damn thing.

"Hey, my pool shell cracked in half!"

" don't worry, you own both pieces." CLICK

I built my own pool. My statement of it not being hard is from first-hand experience.

you are on to something my friend, my Dad used to do something similar when he started his company almost 70 years ago, he would take a prospective customer that had money concerns through the financing process up to and including going to the bank with them to procure a loan, the money was escrowed, then doled out in payments equivalent to % of the job completed, it protected both parties

We'll have to have a drink and discuss this.

Pretty sure you can clear out with 20% without screwing people. Avg inground pool is probably 60-70K.

A decent electrician that's willing to eff with pools will be the toughest thing to find.

Will,
Are they building your pool also or just designing / drawing plans?
