This is my thought. Surely they should be able to give you a copy of the contract. If they can't produce the contract saying you owe for the full year then I can't imagine how they would have grounds to enforce it.

Hell, even if the contract says you'll pay for the year do you really think they'll be willing to take you to court over it? I would believe you and studio could arrive at an amicable decision rather than having to involve the court.

Demand proof of a copy of a signed contact. If they can’t provide that to you, don’t worry another second about it. If they can, get a lawyer and fight it. The dance studio is being ridiculous.
