I loved Lincoln Logs as a kid (50s-early 60s) to the point of actually making new ones with a saw and pocket knife. It was great fun!

Do it. I’ve built models since I was a kid. Hobby Lobby does have some good models, but some they have are garbage. I’d stay away from the Lindberg line and Revell. It’s really sad now Revell’s quality has gone to hell.
If you want a really good selection, go to Amazon. I get most of my models there now.
