You “heard”, but didn’t understand.

Don’t people know that’s disrespectful? I heard today that people in Carolina should accept the hurricane flooding their homes

Would they be better served by denying it?

Whether part of God's plan or not, hurricanes do have some utility: they provide rainfall in the driest time of the year in parts of our country. We haven't had shite for rain for a month and a half until Florenece gave us a couple of inches. It sucks that people on the coast have to hurt for that, but it's 2018. We know all about hurricanes now. Living on the coast is a calculated risk. A hurricane is just like anything else in nature: it has positives and negatives. bit for some reason we only want to credit God for the negatives? Doesn't make any sense.

Satan is most people's god/father, and his plan is definitely to destroy everything he can.

Is it wrong? Shouldn't they be thanking someone for flooding their homes yet sparing them so they can live such rich rewarding lives in the future?

Isn't that the way it works?

You didn't hear that.

Why are you being a drama queen?

He doesn't hear you the first time? In fact, he can read your mind, right?

It's sadistic. It's bronze age. Maybe if you got on your knees and thanked him until it hurt, he'd hear you. This is where you are.
