And logical. The physiology of a human is different from that of a bat or pangolin. The virus has one job, reproduce itself. Humans are much bigger animals than bats or pangolins so the mutated virus than can spread furthest in the lungs of humans is going to become a potent strain.
Italy and Spain may be experiencing just such a mutated strain. Hopefully we’ll only have to deal with the original strain that appears to be less potent.
