I did it for 3 months on a project at my last job and it got old to me after 2 weeks. I got sick of being home all of the time pretty quickly.

I love rolling out of bed for the 20 foot commute to the living room, having the tv on so i can watch sports or news all day while i work, hanging with my dogs and taking off to grab lunch or run errands whenever i feel like it.. i like people in general, i’d just rather be social at a sports bar, dinner party, etc than working with them.
ETA: Oh, and i forgot to add, completely avoiding traffic every day... but I don’t want this to be a pisisng contest, to each his/her own, just enjoy whatever you enjoy.

I’ve tried working out of my house and it’s misrable. I’m too social to be cramped up in my on house all day everyday
My commute and my office is my escape.

I'm pretty introverted but I like most of the people that I work with and my commute is a pretty painless 15 minutes.
I can work from home on an as needed basis but rarely do. I'm already out of the house in the morning bringing my kid to school

Reasons why I work out of the house:
Too hungover
Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, Convention, etc
Contractors working at the house
Other than that I love being out and about networking and taking 2 hour lunches.

No kids here, i think one of the things i like most about working from home is the flexibility.. i’m able to do most things at off-peak times, which IMO adds to the quality of life.. for instance, i often take a break from work at 10 or 11am, go take a run or to the gym , and i’m not fighting the typical crowds you’d fight to do those things in the early morning or at 5 or 6pm.. plus as i mentioned traffic is a non-issue.. True, it is a little harder to meet new people than it would be if your worked in an office every day, so you have to make a little more effort.. but that;s where socializing after hours or on weekends is a good thing.. i think like anything in life, working remotely is a trade-off, but for me the pros far outweighs the cons.

Mine's 25, but I really enjoy the hell out of it. Beautiful drive and I enjoy my music during that time.

I would probably still work part time or seasonally. I work with some really cool people (and dogs) and the scenery is top notch
