Happened to me in 2018 during that cold snap when it was in the teens a few straight nights. Tile popped up from fridge to sink. Of course the tiles by the fridge cracked. And that’s when I learned how to lay tile and grout.

Ours did it as well a couple of years ago during a hard freeze

Most likely the tile tented. Is the tile in a large room? The concrete slab slowly shrinks over time and suddenly and sometimes violently the weak point in the tile adhesion fails and the tiles pop. FYI, if this is the cause, it is not typically a covered loss under your homeowner's policy
