My Backyard - Alligator

A 6+ foot alligator casually strolled across my backyard to the pond. He was heading from the front yard to the back. I see them in the water all the time, but watching him walk was crazy. I know, CSB. It was pretty cool though.

I stepped out my back door yesterday directly next to what I think was a black runner. Like six inches away slithering on the brick door step of the door frame. My dog preceded to attack it all within about three seconds. That snake raised up like it thought it was a cobra . All involved survived. Scared the living shite out of me .
