out of irrational fear

Wendy J. Olson, the U.S. attorney for Idaho, indicated in a statement Friday that Idahoans who spread “false or inflammatory information” about the alleged Muslim perpetrators may be subject to prosecution. The boys accused are ages 14, 10 and 7, and their families have been evicted from the Fawnbrook Apartments in Twin Falls, where the assault allegedly took place. The two older boys are immigrants from Sudan and the youngest is from Iraq. They are believed to be refugees but the government has yet to say exactly how they entered the country, only that they have come “within the last two years.”
quote:
The Olson statement that is drawing fire from First Amendment advocates is as follows: “The spread of false information or inflammatory or threatening statements about the perpetrators or the crime itself reduces public safety and may violate federal law."
quote:
First amendment attorneys contacted by WND left nothing to the imagination in their sweeping condemnation of the Idaho U.S. attorney appointed by Obama in 2010. “Ms. Olson’s not-so-veiled threat is closer to illegal speech by a government official than the speech she threatens,” said David Yerushalmi, who has represented Pamela Geller and other prominent activists. “But this abuse of government power is no surprise coming from the political hacks this president has appointed in the U.S. attorneys’ offices.”
quote:
Daniel Horowitz, who represents WND on First Amendment issues, went one step further. He suggested Olson’s words, insinuated that “false or inflammatory” speech could get an American citizen arrested, consisted of a terroristic threat. “Wendy Olson should be arrested for making terrorist threats against American citizens,” Horowitz said. “She has abused her position and threatened to use the power of the United States government to punish citizens in the exercise of their constitutional rights. “She is a criminal terrorist who silences Americans through threats of arrest just as violent terrorists seek to silence us by threats of murder. She should lose her job and be jailed and when Trump builds his wall, her prison work gang should help build it.”
quote:
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan can call for 10,000 black men to “rise up,” “stalk” and “kill” white cops and that is considered protected speech by a U.S. Attorney in Florida, Horowitz said. But citizens in Idaho are somehow forbidden from commenting on an explosive local criminal case involving a heinous crime against a special-needs girl unable to defend herself.
quote:
Sudan, the home country of the two older boys, has one of the highest rates of rape of any country in the world. State Department statistics show that since 2012, the federal government has sent 161 Sudanese refugees to Twin Falls, without the knowledge or consent of the residents.
Like this irrational fear?

If she left how does she know that the FBI and HLS showed up?
Maybe she left the area of the YUGE park that they were in... maybe she waited for the FBI agent to show up. Maybe if you were so well versed in what types of cases FBI and DHS involved themselves with, you would use the correct acronym. She elaborated in her comments that DHs did not show up, but FBI did and said they were notifying DHS. This kind of stuff is happening all over the country, and im not saying this is real (seems far fetched), but to think it is impossible is burying your head in the sand. Let me guess, you think Orlando was a mass shooting by a lone wolf too huh? What about the video of a man trying to kidnap a 13 year old girl in a store the other day? False flag huh?

quote:Definitely not. Her story is very plausible. Muslim men do tend to approach females when they are alone, so that part is very believable. Some of the other stuff is sketchy though.

They do. I posted the contact info to their office. Some dumbasses think the FBI has one office and it is inside the US Capitol building

not what I said, but I guarantee you that the person who wrote that nonsense, had no idea that there was an FBI field office in Monroe

I know you think you're enlighten and wise. But if you can't see Islamic "culture" for what it is, you're nothing but a damned fool.

Come on, you're really surprised they'd leave out the part of them being Muslim? We just had a fricking terrorist attack only a couple weeks ago where a Muslim went into a gay bar and killed 49 people while shouting "allah ackbar" and professing his devotion and allegiance to ISSIS. And our idiot attorney general just got in front of the media about a week ago saying we still don't have any idea what motivated him.

Ofc of Emergency Preparedness is a branch of Homeland Security and has an office in West Monroe. An agent could have easily been at the park with his family when a radio call went out. FBI has a local office in Monroe. More likely a coincidence that officials were nearby if that actually happened as described. Local law enforcement would have held the suspects if evidence warranted, and the feds would have likely been by next day to interview.
