So these guys were opening the bar based on all the old Murphy’s images and never got any legal authority to do so….? 
They must’ve flunked business 101….

Supposedly the New Murphys is being opened by several “successful” people…..but this seems like a major oversight.
It was either this thread or the “I miss Murphy’s” FB group that probably sparked it. Several people in the FB group were calling this new Murphy’s an imposter since they know the original owners and knew they had nothing to do with it.

Kevin Kinney from Drivin’ N Cryin’ and Peter Buck from REM once played a show together, I think literally just the two of them, at Murphys in either 1990 or 1991.
