It also has the Colorado River in it....pretty important to western states.

If having parts of rivers and lakes makes a state relevant, then I’m curious what states are less relevant in your opinion

What does my post about Alaska producing the most seafood in the U.S. (60% from a quick google) have to do with seafood in AZ?

Seems like a state such as LA with so many natural resources would be a wealthy, thriving state.

Yet it’s not by any means.

I could easily live in Wyoming assuming that I could make a decent living. My dad lived there for 2 years and loved it.

Just disagreeing with your opinion that Nevada is not relevant.

Lake Tahoe (ever been? Beautiful area with tons of tourism in both Nevada and CA side)
Obvious Las Vegas.....which has a very good economy right now and is known all over the world.

Reno would take away any credit for Lake Tahoe

What a shite hole

Plus the Cali side of Tahoe is far superior to the Nevada side

My only experience with Reno was us having to drive there from Tahoe to return rented tuxes for a wedding my husband was in at Lake Tahoe.

We’ve always driven when we’ve gone to Tahoe so never flew into Reno.
Yeah....was not impressed either

Mining output is probably the best support of Nevada’s relevance (excluding Las Vegas), hadn’t thought of that.

The ‘flyover states’ that no one has ever been to.

N.Dakota, S.Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, etc. Take your pic.

Whats with all the Idaho/Montana/Wyoming votes? These 3 dont qualify based on Yellowstone alone. Idaho is one of the best kept secrets in the country. World class hunting and fishing, phenomenal skiing and snowmobiling, loads of untouched wilderness areas. Hell, they even have sand dunes for sand dune activities!
