I'd say the most expensive high school in LA is the one where kids drop out and don't ever return.

The lost opportunity cost coupled with unemployment, welfare benefits and the like far outweighs a Newman education.

How do you have any idea what you children's classmates parents make? Seems like pure speculation.

This is always a hot topic at Sunday dinner with the family. My parents think that my wife and I will be blowing our money on private school. My former HS is closed and the kids bussed into the nearest town with the animals. Very sad situation. They can't understand how good they had it when we were in school.

90k is nothing. That's a few normal cars or 1-2 nice cars over a child's 18 years of education. Which is more important?

The cars, hands down.

I went to public school. Knew absolutely nothing coming out of high school. I now hold 3 degrees from Louisiana Universities.

No kidding? Well she went to 1 of the 3. Depending on her age I just might know who she is. We all played ball against each other and we're all C or B so everybody knew everybody! Haha

Our small schools had their downfalls but for the most I wouldn't trade it for anything. The environment was great, teachers were awesome, and it was more than safe.

Nice! I still do a little hunting just north of town myself. I get invited pretty often to leased property near the park. There are places with more deer but the woods don't get prettier imo
