Update - resolution of criminal cases
Andrew Eskind - plead guilty to 1 ct Manslaughter. He participated in the planning of the murders, went to crime scene on 2 occasions prior to the murder then loaned his truck to Dalvin Wilson (shooter) on the night of the murders. Agreed to testify against Wilson & Cormier. He still faces 5-40 years in prison. He will be brought back for sentencing by the judge now that he has fulfilled his obligation. No guarantee or promise of any reduction in sentence.
Dalvin Wilson - trigger man, convicted during trial in 2023 of 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder and attempted 1st degree murder. Sentenced to life in prison without benefit of pardon, parole or reduction of sentence.
Beau Cormier - brother of victim Brittany Cormier, conspired with Eskind & Wilson to murder his niece Chelsie Bourque (Brittany’s daughter) who had accused him of 3rd degree rape. Beau Cormier was found not guilty of the rape charge in 2023 during a trial in Vermillion parish. Cormier was found guilty of 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder & attempted 1st degree murder on 2/21/25 after 1 hour of jury deliberations. He is now awaiting sentencing which is mandatory life in prison without benefit of probation, parole or reduction.
I attended both the Wilson & Cormier trials. TPSO detectives did a great job solving this case and the DA office was well prepared for trial. Evidence, while a lot was circumstantial, painted a clear picture that Cormier was guilty.
In addition, Cormier took the stand in his own defense which in my opinion definitely allowed the prosecution to impeach his testimony and show he lied multiple times under oath, was in constant contact with Wilson prior to the murders which he had denied.
Justice has been served.

I don’t think it’s technically irony, but it’s something strange.

Yep, had he only faced the rape charge and done nothing else, he would have only spent a few hours in jail after the rape arrest. He would have not served any more time in jail.
Now he is in jail for life.
Now he is in jail for life.
