I think you're confusing oil sands and shale.
Sounds like he's talking about The Green River formations in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Nobody has had success making it economical. Shell was the last to try just north of Rifle.
quote:
The Green River Formation contains the largest oil shale deposit in the world. It has been estimated that the oil shale reserves could equal up to 3 trillion barrels (480 billion cubic metres) of shale oil, up to half of which may be recoverable by shale oil extraction technologies (pyrolysis, hydrogenation, or thermal dissolution of kerogen in oil shale). However, the estimates of recoverable oil has been questioned, back in 2013, by geophysicist Raymond T. Pierrehumbert, who argued that the technology for recovering oil from the Green River oil shale deposit had not been developed and had not been profitably implemented at any significant scale.

but simple minds need simple explanations and just blaming whatever president is in office works (except for Trump. If Trump was still in office they would blame something else. For some reason Trump gets a pass).
You forgetting plenty of simple minds (on the opposite side) blamed Trump for every single bad thing that happened as well?

Im definitely no fan of Biden
“Joe Biden is way too much of a stupid piece of shite to defend directly, but I’m still going to be a liberal despite every single democrat-controlled city in America being a gigantic failing clusterfrick because I would pay $75 for a gallon of milk, 2 gallons of gas, and 8 ounces of beef in exchange for feeling like I fit in with the other leftist rejects in society”

Help me out here….you mean Biden hasn’t been forcing all of these wells to be shut down? And the industry could have reactivated them at any time?

He walked into a record breaking economy. The stock market and oil production were the highest in recorded history when he took office.
Lmao! You are joking right?
Doescher: Stephen, last year you wrote that if we really want to see a healthy economy, we need real and sustained growth of 3% to 4%. You agreed with Trump that with the right policy we can reach these numbers. But many economists on the left, including Paul Krugman, Larry Summers, and Austan Goolsbee don't.
Moore: Why does anybody really listen to Paul Krugman, or Larry Summers, or the faculty of Economics at Harvard or Yale? They completely misread the economy. They said if Trump is elected, we're going to get a second Great Depression. Now we got the strongest economy in 25 years. They couldn't have been more wrong. It's like getting in a plane and you're flying to California and you end up in Kazakhstan. That's how wrong they were.

He oversaw the highest spending and accumulation of debt in the history of the USA, even after the 2008 crash. I'm not even talking about politics, just business.
And what war did trump get us into to cause this?
