I think it's better they grow up not knowing their dad than this crap.

I mean, the kid wasn't actually driving, right? It was on his lap pretending to drive.

How many of us can say our dads never let us do that and we turned out perfectly safe.

Or did no one else ever let their kid sit on their lap right by the house and "drive".

But you don't go on a high speed chase if you get caught.

If you're not first, you're last.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man for child endangerment, after they say he allowed his two year old child to drive his car, with him and another five year old child inside.

Around 10:30 Saturday night, sheriff's deputies arrested 25-year old Chester Allen. They say they attempted to pull Allen's car over on Blanks Street in Monroe for a broken tail-light, at the same time Allen's two year old son was driving the car. Allen admitted when he saw deputies try to pull him over, he put the child on the car's center console and accelerated the vehicle, leading deputies on a high speed chase to his home.

Allen was arrested, and is facing four charges, including aggravated flight from an officer.

His bond is $650.

Whoa.

Also, I'm not sure how bond is set, but $650 seems pretty low. Hard to argue you're not a flight risk when you were arrested for "aggravated flight from an officer."

I'm sure the kid wasn't actually driving, we aren't known for quality journalism. I'm not ok with a kid riding like that though, it wasn't too long ago a toddler was killed for being improperly restrained around here.
