Very rare all blue Lionel streamliner set (1935) - most of these are a slightly lighter color blue with a white stripe and a blue locomotive

thought about you last week, Big Boy came through town(it actually had been on display for a few days and was leaving town,) people were lining the tracks for miles

I was going to go over to Big Sandy, Texas to watch it, but had a scheduling conflict. I have pictures of me climbing on the locomotive when I was in 6th grade (it was at Steamtown).

This shows the difference between O gauge (the NYC gray locomotive) and standard gauge (the custom made Texas Special).
Standard gauge was big from 1910 to the late 30's. There are now some manufacturers who make items that were not available originally. This Texas Special locomotive is a monster of metal. I have four, and will end up with 8, passenger cars to go with it. Each is 30 inches long.

Had a train once. But this German Tiger Tank blew it to smithereens.

That was me in the 60s/709s with my dad's set. I remember those signs but we had different station and a rotating light tower.

Model airplanes a Naval ships guy here, but I inherited several train cars when I was little, in the HO scale that mysteriously disappeared during a move. They were from the 1970s.

I have a bunch of Lionel stuff from early 2000s that I’m giving to my grandkids. Lots of locos, cars, and track with transformers, buildings, etc. I’ve always loved trains. Building a layout is not as easy thing to do. Takes a lot of time … and $$.
