Do you have any idea how expensive it is to dry dock a ship? There’s a decent business in using divers to clean ships’ hulls, and their propellers, in between scheduled dry dockings. In fact in the 1980s I was a 1/3rd owner in a company that did exactly this. Ultimately sold the business to Smit who still uses the technology.

It would explain official’s certainty that there was no foul play involved. Someone had to see something to explain the way LE have handled this.

ABS and COI Vessels are required to be dry docked 2 times within every 5 years. That’s usually when they do their Hull maintenance

I have no idea. Do you know with absolute certainty that they didn’t?
No one enjoys criticizing BRPD more than me, but we have no idea- officially- what they did/didn’t do. We have obscure info that’s been poorly shared by officials. We have an uncle -I think from Houston?- who has said more than her parents.
At this point, none of us know much, except half the people in this thread think it’s a suicide and the other half want it to be some horrible abduction.
When it’s over I’d hope officials give an accounting of what transpired so we can have more faith in them.
