Minor punishment for minor offense?

Anyone else think this place needs a good cleaning? I think if you get caught littering, that means you should go pick up trash along the highways in the area that you littered. I'm sure there are other non violent crimes that can be enforced and then offered public service duties as the justice. What else other than trash pick up can offenders do to help contribute to a better society that helps everyone rather than just a few? Grafitti scrubbing? Just seems to me that there's way too much to do around Louisiana and not enough people helping.

We need to bring back a swift Hanging for crimes like rape and murder and child molestation.
String them up along the road and let them rot.
You get caught doing some serious stealing? We brand you as a thief on your face.
You get caught shoplifting? Cane you in the town square.
We have too many people in jail as it is. If you are in jail for a crime like personal drug use you should be in rehab. Not in jail learning to be a better criminal.
Need more corporal punishment and true, permanent punishment for real crimes.
Also bring back gladiator battles.
