you drive too fast and should leave your house a little earlier

Just because Argonaut can't go without hitting snooze 10 times and being late to work, it doesn't mean i'm going to go out of my way screw with the slow lane flow of traffic just so you can get to work 5 min late instead of 8 min late.

I drive the speed limit. I also don't hang out in the left lane if a line of traffic is driving under the speed limit.

Again, for the 11th time now, I will get over when I can and when it makes sense with the rest of the flow of traffic.

And when you don't have to adjust your cruise control, correct?

Dude in the truck should be tried for attempted murder. WTF is so important that you would ride someone's tail like that and risk your life, the other driver, and possibly other drivers around you?

I drive the speed limit and work a flex schedule. I'm good.

I drive above the speed limit in the left lane, and I pass people

I don't use cruise control for the most part because I live and work in the city. you're confusing me with another poster. I've made it abundantly clear that it's because I don't want to go from 80-85 to 65-70. I'll get over when it makes sense to me and the flow of traffic in general. Darting over to the right lane just to let Argonaut by does not make sense to the other drivers in the right lane either. That involves hitting your brakes and dropping 10-15 mph, which is unsafe and would be an a-hole thing to do to the people who just want to get to work safely in the slow lane.

which is why I said you value your opinion too much. It is an opinion, whether you think it is or not.

Look at it this way. The driver in the passing lane should show some patience and realize that the person they are tailgating will get over let them by when it's safe to do so. There is nothing worse than trying to get into the slow lane and hit your brakes, whether it's because you're about to miss an exit, or yo're letting a faster driver by.

I will get over, but you're gonna have to wait a damn second. Patience is a virtue, fast driver. We have to share the road.

eta this is all assuming that you are still going at a rate of speed that is passing drivers in the slow lane

It's like some of you have never driven in a large city. If you don't want to move over for someone doing 100 mph, that's fine. He's an a-hole. That doesn't mean you aren't.

literally an opinion.

Not sure about this. I got multiple tickets from the VSP on the Beltway. Unless things have changed dramatically in recent years, I'm doubting that 85 is the normal speed for traffic there, since the speed limit is still 55.

If someone is right on your arse as soon as they pull up, they can frick off. That's not what happened here or what I assumed we were talking about after everyone decided they'll stay in the left lane until they don't have to turn off the cruise control.

No, not at all. Do I think I'm an a-hole for waiting for the right time to get over and let someone pass? not at all. I don't want to endanger anyone in the slow lane, and merging over and hitting your brakes to drop your speed by 15 mph is unsafe. That would be more of an a-hole thing to do in my opinion.

I am glad we can both agree that your statement was an opinion though.

we haven't discussed the video for a while now. My scenario for a few pages has been that if I'm still passing people, then I belong in the passing lane. If you want to go faster, I will get over, but only when it is safe and sensible to do so.

Again, I've said this multiple times.

I wouldn't do what the truck, or the car did because I'm not an a-hole.
