Metal detector spin off thread - Civil War related

The fellow in this video was a noted Civil War collector, Tom Dickey.
Points of interest about him:
In the 1940's he won seven individual SEC track and field championships when he ran at LSU and two relay championships.
He is not in the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame.
His brother James was a famous writer. James was best known for his novel Deliverance (1970) which was adapted into an acclaimed film of the same name.

Awesome video. Can't imagine having a hobby like that nowadays with some much unexploded ordnance in the basement. The ATF and other agencies would flip their shite.
