Mel is one of the typical people who want wealthy white people to invest in black communities, then when they do it drives up the price of the neighborhood and the 'native' residents have to leave because they didn't invest in buying a house at nothing and ride the wave up.

They've been posting shite like this for weeks. He's taking private anonymous DMs from ex-employees who are obviously disgruntled, then reposting them for thousands of followers as truth. Zero fact-checking is done.

What he doesn't realize he's doing (lets be real - what he DOESN'T CARE that he's doing) is drowning out whichever stories may be true because he's reposting so much outlandish bullshite that businesses can't even come back and deny.

If you want to "cancel" someone who truly did wrong, the key is to focus on that issue and do tons of fact checking and really come down on them hard. By coming after every business owner in the city, you're just watering it down and everyone besides your cronies is ignoring you. People that likely weren't giving money to those businesses to begin with.

He better start throwing some "allegedly"s in there before he gets sued. Pretty sure you can't just accuse people of running a sex ring.

Reminds me of cash taped to someone’s shirt for their birthday.

Good news for white folks in the Treme: looks like they can stay now.

Guess he learned that without the gentrification the Treme would be a wasteland bc he took down his threats.
