True story: my ancestors were poor. When my grandmother was pregnant with my Mom, an old spinster widow in town who had no children and few friends paid my grandmother $10 to name my Mom after her so she would have some type of legacy. That's how my Mom got her name - it was paid for. The old widow also promised to pay for my Mom's college and bequeath her house to her after she died. But when my Mom was still young the old widow sold her house and willed her estate to someone else in return for them caring for her in her final years. So my Mom went through her entire life with a first and middle name that were thrust upon her in exchange for $10.

When I try and tell people I can’t vote for anything that would allow California one more piece of influence over my life this is the shite I use as an example why. These people are batshit insane and not attached to reality.
Not the woman. She’s just taking advantage. The absolute idiots that pay her. This is snake oil of the highest 21st century order.

Good for her that people are dumb enough to pay it.

This upsets me greatly... because I didn't think of doing this first.
Good on her.
Good on her.
