If you guys want to draw up this perfect setting with a white republican mayor, look into living in places like Jefferson Parish and Denham Springs. Affordable houses (that may all look the same pending which neighborhood you live in), close to the city, less minorities, Chilies, Olive Gardens and don't forget Bass Pro Shops.

But jeff parish and denham at least have low crime and reasonable law enforcement

Belle Chasse tunnel is in Plaquemines, Harvey tunnel is in Jefferson and Houma tunnel is in Terrebonne. None are in NOLA.

Hope Mobile does have too much success. That's when everyone starts expecting handouts, and they'll elect a mayor that promises to give it to them.
