I can't help but think the signs were there for a long time. You don't get this kind of crazy/paranoid overnight.

My understanding is that Russell County Alabama where Phenix City is denied this lowlife a concealed carry permit. Alabama is now a must issue state so there must have been something on this background to cause the Sheriff's Office not to issue the permit.

Yea but of what? Has that been confirmed? I don't see any details of it being released.

This guy was insane and his digital footprint is pretty big, easy to find and full of crazy.

It's so crazy that there's no way he was just like this online. Friends and family had to know this dude was a fricking ticking time bomb.

You are right but there are a lot of crazies out there and there always have been. The recent phenomenon is shooting up innocent people. What changed to make people do this? Columbine showed them how? Or is it an American cultural phenomenon? Who knows

My parents swear this is the same guy they saw at a movie in Baton Rouge on July 4th weekend.
A strange looking guy, wearing an obvious wig and baseball cap walked into a movie on his own. For whatever reason, my parents were very uneasy about it and left the theater before the movie started.
Could have been this guy on the way to Laffy, either almost doing it then and chickening out, or planning/practicing.

He may not have had any friends or family. But I do think he had a house foreclosed on last year. Looks like a wife or recent ex-wife was around.
Clearly he has had money problems nearly his entire life.

I would call the local state police and tell them this. There are cameras all over the place. This could help with a possible motive.

Perp is dead.
What's it matter now.
Still bizarre.
Pay attention people of your surroundings.
I have zero problems letting a weird person know I'm watching them. I'll make it real obvious.

Sev09, they did find a bunch of wigs and stuff (either in the car or his Motel 6 room... I forget which.)
