re: Married OTers...how many times a week/month do you have sex?

The average is around 80 coital acts/year (a little more than 1.5X week average, or once every 4-5 days - this is a large scale study, and can't put my hands on the study right now, so I don't remember is this is US or worldwide, and I can't remember if this is married, or monogamous, or all-comers.
Who knows what normal is (or if its even fair to use that label at all), but in my profession, I am privy to a great deal on this issue, and I can tell you that infrequent sex is way more common than most of the posters here are suggesting, and apparently there must be quite a few "one percenters" around the OT, when it comes to how often they are getting laid. Most of the time women are making inquiries about it, it is because "I promised my husband I would ask what can be done..."
Unfortunately there is no proven pharmacologic fix - if you look at hard data, that is. Data on hormone therapy (particularly the oft prescribed testosterone therapy and also estrogen/progestin) shows no positive effect. There is indeed a new med out "pink pill" (Addyi - Sprout pharmaceuticals) and results show what I would describe as marginal efficacy at best and it is not compatible with alcohol, which is a roadblock to many.
The whole process is multifactorial, and some don't care that they have a non-existent sex life, and to others its a deal breaker. The problem is of course when there is a mismatch in the hierarchy of needs between the partners.

Maybe your data is biased because you're dealing with people that have problems.

My wife and I have a three month old daughter and it makes finding time/ energy to get in the mood more difficult. Planned or unplanned works for me though

That's the point of a study like this - its a purely random offering of subjects, not people reporting a problem.

having 2 kids under the age of 4 can sometime put a damper on things, so when we have the time/energy we do

it's tough at first but if they get in a routine it's a lot easier
I also pulled the TVs out of their room and they fall asleep within 5 minutes instead of an hour
and if all else fails I give them melatonin

About 2-3 times a week. Whenever our little boy sleeps..Been married almost 7 years.

Been married 8 years and together more than 10 years. Average twice a week, some weeks more, some less. Once every 4-6 weeks is ridiculous!!
