Bingo..
The entire class scheme always seemed pathetic. If you can't hang out with all types, you severely limit yourself.

What's wrong with that?
With quitting marijuana to gain a steady income? Absolutely nothing. It’s a crappy circumstance, but denying an indulgence to provide for yourself or your family is admirable.
The problem is when people see this denial as a sign of moral superiority or maturity instead of an advantageous adaptation for their particular circumstances. A lot of professionals (not subject to drug tests) have been relaxing with marijuana for a long time. If you need to clear your head quickly, you can (quicker than being drunk), and no hangover the next day. Having self-righteous working-class folks judge this behavior to the point of socially sanctioning seizure of a person, denial of freedom, and loss of dignity, was a grave injustice.

I always assume the most pretentious are usually those stuck in dead end crappy careers and are jealous of mid mamagement.
And does that make you feel better?
ETA: basic accountants aren’t really considered professionals

There are good and bad people from all social classes. The good ones, however, don’t go around supporting limitations on personal freedoms because they had to limit themselves to make a living.

90% of the population does.

Maybe they didn't support it before then

That sounds about right. I’m about 90% misanthropic.

So, maybe they just suck?

When I finally smoked pot my junior year in college (late I know) I was kind of wondering why it was so frowned upon. I haven’t done it in years but I’ll never forget that Blue Dream pot I smoked for first time.
Smoked it out of a honey crisp apple. And proceeded to eat that apple core and all while listening to Posters by Youth Lagoon lmao.

An argument could be made that Pot leads to stronger drugs.
The first drug most people use is alcohol. Why does no one ever say alcohol leads to heavier drug use? How many people do you know that use Marijuana and coke/meth/heroin that don't also use alcohol? First used alcohol?
That's a tired argument that has no real basis.

I agree
We smoke, but it’s not cool for kids to be witness to. That’s easily avoidable.

It’s been proven over and over that it isn’t addictive through unbiased, scientific measures.
Youre citing a source that profits greatly from “treating” the addiction.......
Addictive personality traits will gravitate to whatever medium is available and alcohol leads that charge.

I'm ready to take an edible after the little one goes to sleep and just chill out with no repercussions.
Smoking it makes me sick every time but I've had edibles once and it was great.

To be fair, the accountants I’m familiar with make more than $150k......the more experienced (directors and partners) are $250k and up. Partners regularly hitting $1million.
Just saying.
But I do agree on the BS condescension.
