The way the culture was set up, a very small group of wealthy aristocrats basically owned the state while everyone else was dirt poor peasants. That’s the way it was then, and that’s the way it is now. And it will never change
bullshite, everything changes.

This map is better. Shows exactly where the changes are happening
Shows how “Texas is booming” can kinda be misleading. The entire western part of Texas is dying
But look at Florida, almost the entire state is actually booming, but idaho is the clear winner. The entire state in all areas, city and rural, are growing.
And on the opposite end, all of Louisiana is shrinking, where as California the rural areas are staying the same, while the cities are experiencing flight
ETA: Texas is actually kinda sad. “Texas” is dying. The Houston/Dallas megaplex of all business no identity is thriving
ETA 2: el paso growing dark green

El Paso is highly underrated.
Like 90% of the crime is cartel related. Avoid getting involved with the cartel and you have little to worry about.
Also little to no threat of natural disasters in that area.

I love how everyone on TD always shits on New York and California, when Louisiana is no better in any capacity.
