That happens more often than you’d suspect. I interned at the DA’s office while attending LSU. The first call I went on with the investigator I was assigned to was one of these deaths. An 84 year old man died trying to pass a hard one. He was still lying by the toilet when we arrived. His poor wife had dementia and couldn’t understand why her husband wouldn’t get up.
