He messed up when he put it in head first. You have to go in tail first, then hold it in for a minute before releasing it. Best to remove its teeth first. Needle nose pliers work well for that.

See the dude messed up by not prepping the eel for this particular job. Dude should have spent at least a week feeding the eel shite to acclimate it to its new food source. Also dude should have taught the eel the correct passage way to the food source and back out to the light.
