I had a contractor come sit in my office, “Hey man, all you white boys know how to beat taxes….how you beat the child support people?”
I was in Court and this real specimen of a man gets assessed the state minimum for child support, I think it was 300 bucks a month.
He nearly passed out, started to cry and asked the judge "how am I gonna pay my boat note?" Judge said thats 10 dollars a day? which is more important your boat note or supporting your child? he couldnt answer.

Think of how much those pennies will be worth in the future. 2 cents

She should have trolled him. Have an article faked: "Women finds rare $$5000 penny in child support payment." It could have been done.

No …, a person could prefer payment a certain way doesn’t mean that they could refuse legal tender… it’s a court case against the IRS that explains this
IRS and private citizen/business have different rules on being required to accept cash/coins.
A quick Google search reveals:
Yes, the IRS is required to accept pennies as payment for taxes. While private businesses are not obligated to accept cash, the IRS, as a government entity, is required to accept U.S. coins and currency for the payment of taxes, according to 31 U.S.C. § 5103. This means that while some businesses may choose not to accept cash payments, the IRS cannot refuse pennies when a taxpayer is paying their dues.
Elaboration:
Legal Tender:
31 U.S.C. § 5103 designates U.S. coins and currency as legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues.
IRS Obligation:
Because the IRS is a government entity, it is legally bound to accept U.S. coins and currency, including pennies, for tax payments.
Private Businesses:
In contrast, private businesses are not required to accept cash payments unless there is a state law that mandates it. They are free to set their own policies regarding payment methods.

I was cleaning out old files and found something amazing. Apparently my mother owed my dad a sum of money after their divorce. She chose to never pay off the debt and instead paid the interest. I found a whole stack of checks to my dad from the 80s and 90s for $6.66
