Why is it wrong to celebrate a good kill? People have been doing it since the dawn of man.

like to hunt and am all for taking care of nuisance animals but this is a bit much.

Why?

Yeah, and for most of the time humans have done that it was because it meant they could survive for another week not because they made a neat video to show their friends.

It's over the top. I'm sure those guys could have rounded up plenty of people to shoot those hogs at once.

I guess I'm getting a little more sentimental as I get older and I don't like seeing/doing things like that anymore. I've killed things just to kill them before when I was younger but I just don't like doing it anymore. I understand these are pests but this seems a little inhumane to me.

What about when they killed a predator like a big cat or a bear. Something not for food but because it constituted a threat?

And? Why use more people when fewer will do?

You could take a place by storming it with thousands of men or you could blow it up to achieve the same result.

What's the key word in inhumane?

Human. These aren't.

Predators present an immediate danger to one's survival. This is an apples and oranges comparison.

It would likely result in cleaner kills and would allow them to use more of the animals if possible (I understand the males aren't good to eat most of te time).

Thats an argument for war against humans to preserve human life. Once again, apples/oranges.

You're right. I understand these landowners have to do what they have to but I just don't agree with it.

I think a testosterone shot could help what ails you.

These hogs not only destroy crops but they cause damage to the land.

The problem is nearly an epidemic. Clean it up with whatever legal means available before it gets to that point.

And as far as the anti-gunner viewpoint goes, nothing gun owners do is going to make them be happy and STFU.

OK, hardass

I get it. You like to blow up animals to show you ain't no frickin queer.

I understand why they need to be killed I just don't agree with how they did it.

Why does the how matter?

You act like they caught them in traps and made them listen to Justin Bieber while flaying them alive.

I couldn't imagine a worse way to die

I guess to you it doesn't but it matters to me. As I stated earlier, I understand these guys have to do what they have to do but I don't agree with it.

LOL, no, I've never blown up an animal just to show I'm not queer. Nice to know that's your threshold for proof, though.

I think you're just being a bit too sensitive.

Thats assuming these were clean kills. It just seems like this whole ordeal was more about showing off a cool way to kill stuff rather than taking care of a problem. I don't think any self respecting hunter/conservationist would agree with this method.

Dude...did we watch the same video? Those hogs are D-E-A-D dead. They have shuffled their mortal coils. Snuffed it. Bitten the proverbial dust. They are ex-piggies!

What's wrong with taking care of a problem in the coolest way possible?

This isn't hunting or conserving. This is eradicating a dangerous and destructive pest.

I don't recall seeing much of the aftermath other than the camera turning to the shooter.

It just doesn't seem right to me. I'm not trying to convert you to my line of thinking because I know I won't.

I only want to examine the why of it not seeming right to you. Oftentimes we feel a certain way and go with it instead of logically progressing through the reasoning we feel that way.

It just doesn't show respect for the animal and it seems like there is a higher probability of causing it undue suffering.
