To tell y'all the truth, it was a lot wilder in the 80s and 90s.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'd much rather live out in the countryside than either of those places.

Pine Prairie is miles nicer than Mamou. Mamou is probably the shittiest town in Evangeline parish

I never said they didn't. I don't live in either one.

But I know at least 8 people from Mamou who are doctors. Know a few from VP too.

As a matter of fact, I know quite a few people from VP and Mamou who are successful attorneys, engineers, etc.

They all got out while the getting was good.

Pine Prairie, not so much.

This episode was a great depiction of the Ed Orgeron backers. The "he talks like us" crowd.

Agreed 100% and that's not saying much. I mean I like Chicot and all, but it's not saying much

How many doctors COME FROM Mamou?

Mamou has a hospital that attracts some shitty doctors from larger metro areas that couldn’t find jobs anywhere else because their scores were shitty

And you also owe yourself a trip to faquetigue courir de Mardi Gras... it is (or was) a smaller, lesser known courir full of musicians, fun and it was amazingly fun. It’s probably a bit larger now... it’s been a few years

Mamou Mardi Gras is awesome. I lived in Nola for 7 years and I’d much rather ride in Mamou.

One of my friends is from Church Point and every year tries to get us to go to Mardi Gras in Church Point. Is this what I'm missing?

Church Point is bigger than Mamou. Both are fun

I think you baws would be surprised about how many doctors, engineers, lawyers, PTs, PA’s come from VP and move back. Mamou I’m not so sure about. Sacred Heart of VP is surprisingly a good school for how small it is. Mamou HS is an A school. Not many public schools outside of St Tammany can say that.
