Renting a car and driving from Spokane. Looking to check out the Glacier, Lewis and Clarke, and Yellowstone parks along with a stop in Missoula. What are some other spots I should look to check out these next couple days?

It's 75 degrees and sunny right now in Spokane. You may be right when I hit the mountains.

Stanley and Wallace Idaho. Don't stay too long in Stanley, you may never leave.

Too bad there isn't a board for this, but if you're in Yellowstone you might as well bomb down to the Tetons or go north to Banff.

Will you be close to Riggins, Idaho? Trying to get my wife to sale out in a few years and move there. I have been on a few fishing and hunting trips around there and love that place. Winters are kinda harsh and is the deal breaker for her.

No that's a bit further south than I'm traveling. I'll be spending most of my time in Montana, was mainly seeing if there was anything in northern Idaho that I may pass.

You should stop in CDA and let me sell you a vacation house. ;)

Beautiful area too many things to list. I left Louisiana years ago and moved my family here. Best decision ever.

I would say just do some hiking wherever there are literally 1000 of great places.

Some of the most boring stretches of highway in all of America.

Riggins is in an area that's the Banana Belt of Idaho. It averages less than 10" of snow a year, not a bad place to live if she's worried about the cold.

I guess if you prefer flat land, endless 18 wheelers and dime a dozen interstate rest stops every mile it would be.

I have mentioned similar facts to her shrubber, but she hates anything below 40 da*n degrees. Winters in Alabama are brutal to her. She loves being outside.

Yeah, you can't convince them. 45 degrees in Alabama is more uncomfortable than 35 in Idaho however.

Just talked to some friends that live in the Yellowstone / Tetons area. They said last weekend both parks traffic was the worst they've ever seen. Cheap gas and more affluent foreign travelers have made the parks into a huge parking lot, and they expect it to continue through the summer.
It's definitely worth seeing, but plan for huge delays with traffic. Good luck.
