What I wish is that the US would join the rest of the world in including any/all taxes/fees in the list price. Tacking it on after as a little surprise is fricking retarded. Feel free to include on the receipt what the tax rate and cost was, but bake it into the list price.
If we did that, most of this consternation would go away.
