Who is Madison Brooks?
I had the same question then felt bad for forgetting. No matter what the truth about the “alleged rape” is, this girl was majorly wronged by these dudes and they should not go unpunished.

If they aren’t guilty of rape then what should the be punished for?

The odd thing is the driver lets her out when she is telling him “let me out I’m getting an Uber”
So the actual right thing to do (at that point in time) would have been to actually hold her against her will from getting out of the car
Strange twist of fate there

Is the Uber driver still being sued?

Should have been you gang raped and died. Hopefully, it’s not too late.

good point, that would be unlawful restraint at a minimum

Wishing rape and death on a stranger for having a different point of view. Very rational and mature. Are you a woman?

I have no clue if there is written law or not but I would think some Good Samaritan law is out there when it comes to protecting drunk people from themselves

Welcome to Louisiana, where the government is slow and the lawyers are plentiful.

Not much worse than gloating about a woman's death on a message board.
Edit: one that the woman's friends and family probably see, too.

Who’s gloating about her death?

starting to see why neither side seems in any hurry to get this to trial, lots of loose ends

Run easy??? Are you blind???? I’m on the fence on this one. First of all she seems to have a drinking phase. I’m sure that want the only time she has been to any of those bars… plus we don’t know how she got her drinks there. Plus I haven’t heard much from these so called friends that she was supposed to be with that night.

Regardless of how Chad or the law tries to make alcohol and sex a black and white issue, the truth is the heavy heavy majority of people don’t see it like that. They break it down into 3 broad categories
1. Person knew they were going to get drunk and knew having sex was a potential outcome and they were trying for this outcome. They wanted it to happen. In the morning they are excited it happened. The vast majority will never see this as rape regardless of BAC
2. Person knew they were going to get drunk, weren’t really planning on sex, but while drunk decided it was a good idea. They wake up the next day and regret it but don’t once think to themselves they were raped. The majority of people still don’t see this as rape but it gets grey in this area
3. Person gets drunk and in no way shape or form every wanted to have sex. But sex happens because another person completely manipulated them. The person the next day is mortified and can’t believe what happened. People easily see this as rape

ignoring the potential rape for a moment, no one is getting charged with bringing a wasted person home
I am going to assume nearly everyone at LSU has been in a car with a blacked out chick acting unreasonable. If biting my tongue and bearing the drama is a crime then I am John Gotti

Just because the guy had a sexual charge, which these can be very misleading, doesnt mean she didnt tell him he could put it in.
You cannot give informed consent at a .319 bac.
And her running means nothing. I’ve known people with alcohol poisoning that had to get taken to the hospital that were dancing on the table 20 minutes before they passed out.
The boys are on record talking about how drunk she was and she didn’t even know where she lived and had already passed out.
