long as you aren't out there in lightning, you're ok. I didn't do the edging and trim though.

lawn looking like a New Iberia haircut

Q: How would you like your grass cut, señor?

A: Well, I was thinking of maybe a Dodger Stadium Fade, but I hear this New Iberia thing's taking off...

There's no point doing the edging and trim when it's soaked and muddy. The edger won't work right anyway and the weedeater will just throw stuff on the wet concrete and you can't blow it off.

There are good reasons not to mow in the rain, and especially after a lot of rain.
I've seen a lot of grass areas get torn up by mowers because of mowing when it's too wet. The wetter it is, and the heavier the equipment, the more damage you'll do.

You're also much less likely to get an even cut when the grass is wet.

Something else many people don't think about in terms of a quality cut is going too fast. You miss grass when you go too fast. There's a tradeoff between mowing fast and quality.
