Our prom was only open to juniors and seniors at our school, so it became a tradition to go with big groups of friends. Even people who were dating didn’t go together

So… I never had a prom date

My prom date was my HS girlfriend who, at the time, I had every intention of marrying one day. That is until right after graduation when I shipped off to the army and her raging inner whore blossomed on a trip to PCB with her girlfriends. Sucked when it happened but I dodged a bullet in the long run.

Speaking of prom dresses, they ain’t like I remember in the 80s. Prom season just ended around here. I remember my wife showing me the pics moms were putting on the Facebook. A lot of them dress like prostitutes now. I’m talking fronts cut down almost to the navel, no backs, and split up to their crotch just about.

My daughter will have her Jr. prom next year. I can promise you she will have an elegant dress that still preserves her dignity and modesty.

we had a junior prom - you had to have a male escort (no cardboard cut outs or blow up dolls) and I didn’t have one so I didn’t go

So I saved that dress (that I loved) and wore it to senior prom.

I agree. I see it on FB but my nieces do not have those types of dresses. Dressing inappropriately is not allowed in our fam for generations so they would never think it is acceptable

Well, I’m not sure. I haven’t seen her in years. The last time I ran into her she’d piled on a good 40-50 lbs. I know after we broke up she ended up dropping out of nursing school and marrying her manager Captain D’s. They never had kids but adopted some handicapped Mexican kids. He ended up leaving her at some point for another woman.Left her to raise those kids on her own. Last I heard she still works in fast food and lives in a single wide trailer not far from here.

There was a thread on here not long ago where someone suggested I to the fast food joint she works at and tell her to make sure she includes fries with my order.
