My dad came out to visit me for Thanksgiving so I wasn't on much. Pretty emotional time for me. My dad's memory is essentially gone.

My dad is in the vv early stages. He’s already forgotten my middle child’s name. Well he remembers it probs about 15% of the time.

We had to put mama in a memory care unit back in the summer.
She knew me at first, but eventually thought I was her brother, my dad, and her dad towards the end of the visit. She seemed to think she was in a courthouse and asked me when the trial was. I asked if she did it, and she loudly proclaimed that she hadn't done anything wrong.

My brothers and I are in the planning phases of that being our eventual reality for dad.
For now. He still lives at home but t he’s got a new fall alert bracelet and cameras in every room of him home.
We also use the Hero Medication Dispensing device for all his meds. It’s automated and has an app so I get notifications when he does and doesn’t take his meds.
