I lived in Chalmette for a while. Every now and then I call an old fiend just to hear them talk.

Used to be able to tell what part of the “city” someone was from just by their accent. A lot of it all sounds the same to me now.

Oh, I can hear a NOLA accent from a block away. It really stands out in Texas!

There's a great video on YT with all the different accents. The old dude from Uptown was one of my grandfather's best friends. My grandfather sounded the exact same.

2 each toasted soft flour tortillas with grilled shrimp, cheese, pico & roasted pineapple habanero sauce
drink was a classic orange crystal ight
dessert was a ghirardelli brownie with pecans added
all made by me in the friendly confines of my upscale adobe using my 6 burner ge cafe series range and my breville toaster oven while having alexa to play austin by dasha followed by soulful strut and other catchy tunes in the background
lunch
