I dive with a knife and use it most often to anchor myself against a current.
I don’t swim into anything that I would need to cut myself out of. On the list of underwater essentials, it’s not in my top 5.

Hopefully they have enough good PRN staff to help y’all get meaningful breaks.
You should take that vacation, what if the hospital tanks and then a new ownership offers you a chance to start over as a rehire.

I never actually got to really dive(outside of my training class and certification dives) cause I freaked the frick out the first time I actually tried to dive and said frick it and never again
Our diving instructor told us to get a knife...so I got one.

We don't have PRN staff for infection control. We are salaried so they can't cut our hours so they did this. They almost just furloughed us so this is much better imo.

We are a safety net hospital....we won't tank. We will bounce back at some point...once we can start elective surgeries and open our dental clinics back up to more than just emergent dental care.
