It sucks to ingest salt water but I’m sure you were able to reinsert the regulator quickly?
I took my classroom instruction in NOLA but took my checkout dive in Grand Cayman. It was a more intimidating experience than a pool, for sure, swimming through short coral tunnels
I dove the wall the next day for my 1st real dive ever. My boyfriend booked the trip and I didn’t know any better. When they turn on the light from the complete darkness under the island and there’s a huge sting ray 10 yards in front of you on your 1st dive? You go through the oxygen tank quickly

yeah, training kicked in quickly. I was at around 80 feet. scared the absolute fk outta me though.
I love diving. all things ocean are my fave
