It's from a parasitic tapeworm, usually a pork tapeworm.



That will make you think twice about trying pork street tacos from a street vendor in some central American country.

Wanna really be grossed out. Look on youtube....you can find videos of surgeries being done where the worms are taken out of people's brains. Worms still alive and trying to wiggle away from the surgeon's forceps.
