Damn Darth, how many times are you going to tell your story about almost being dead?
I don't mind talking about any of it other than what happened on the 21st. That's starting to get to me a bit.
That's why when people ask me about being sick, I'm fine with talking about it. I'm just tired of thinking of that one particular complication.
I know I've overreacted to everyone bringing it up and for that I apologize. And to be honest, I can't really talk to anyone about it IRL. I just want to forget it but I can't. I know that makes no sense, it doesn't really make sense to me. but that's where I'm at with it.
On the one hand I want to get it out and hopefully be able to move on and not worry about it incessantly now. But on the other hand I just want to forget it. I know that sounds fricked up.
damn

I think the problem is it all happened so fast. Imagine going to bed tonight and then waking up in the morning on a ventilator and you have doctors and your wife tell you that you'd died in the middle of the night. That's a pretty big mind frick.
The last thing I remember that night was about 6:00 PM. I was begging the nurses to help me breath. the next thing I knew it was 1:00 AM and I was waking up. Apparently it was somewhere around 9:00 when they lost me for a bit. My wife was in the room and saw it all. She said I had been awake the whole time they'd been working on me and suddenly I just said "I'm sorry" and my eyes rolled back in my head and everything flat lined. It freaks me out that it can come so damn quick and I don't remember any of it.
Now I keep wondering when it will happen again. Daily. And the fact I can hear my heart constantly ticking only makes it worse. I find myself listening to it for hours wondering if there's a bit of irregularity or anything. I just want to put that one thing out of my mind.

a crazy heart attack story
The funny part of all this. Even as bad sick as I got, I never had a classic "heart attack". When I first went to a cardiologist they did an EKG and it looked bad enough they suspected I'd recently had a bad heart attack. But when they put me in the hospital and did first a cardioversion and then an arteriogram, they discovered that despite being in stage IV congestive heart failure and my heart only being about 20-25% effective (75% is the norm) I had not in fact had a heart attack.

Don't worry, Owl. When you get your full citizenship the spotlight will return to you.
Darth, having lost my Father to a heart attack at 37, my older brother having triple bypass at 52, I think it is a good story.

The ref that called the Patrick Peterson/ Julio Jones interception out of bounds was on the local radio station here in Mobile. The host asked him was his biggest blown call was and he flat out said that he absolutely blew that one. Now he's a lawyer and not a Bama fan, he's a Georgia grad

Sounds like this could be an issue in your family. Take my advice and your ticker checked out soon. Don't wait for any symptoms because there may not be any you can notice until it's almost too late.

Why does it bother you so much??????
Don't try to call me out you old frick. Everyone else always talks about Darth and his "I died" story. I say one thing and you have to try to "act cool" by telling me something.
